The United Kingdom Maths Trust (UKMT) runs competitions each academic year for Key Stage 5 (Senior Challenge), Key Stage 4 (Intermediate Challenge) and Key Stage 3 (Junior Challenge).
The PE Department have been challenging students to a wide array of home activities throughout the school closures, with the aim of providing fun ways to stay fit and healthy at home.
Earlier this term we celebrated both National Apprenticeship Week and National Careers Week, with activities and discussion during Form time, subject teachers referencing careers related to learning, and Assemblies with screenings and visiting guest speakers.
On the 9 December 2019, my team and I undertook the National Skills Challenge against the rest of the Sixth Form and came out victorious!! We challenged and pushed ourselves to reach the best of our potential with the tasks at hand.
On Friday 7 February the BITE faculty were pleased to welcome Iain Spinks-Gillen (QSTM), Head of Cyber Security who provided a taster lesson in Ethical Hacking.
On Thursday 9 January 2020, 9E and 9N took part in the Talk the Talk Communication Plus day as a part of their Oracy course. Talk the Talk is funded through the Four Acre Trust and we are very fortunate to be able to offer their course for a heavily discounted rate.
