Exceptional Performance
Holmer Green Senior School is keen to celebrate our Exceptional Performers and promote them as strong role models. We know we have many students who compete, perform, or volunteer at a high level and therefore, we want to recognise the additional commitment they make outside of school and celebrate in their success stories.
In all cases, the students spend their spare time volunteering, training and preparing and balancing this with their studies. These students visibly demonstrate our mission of striving to be the best possible versions of themselves. We hope by shining a light on these individuals, that their stories will inspire and encourage others to work hard and have passion so that they also become Exceptional Performers.
If your child is involved in Exceptional Performances, please complete an Exceptional Performance Form below, so we can issue a badge and support where needed.
Please continue to email us achievements and success stories, so we can highlight these.

Oliver Sampson - Year 8 - Swimming
I started swimming at Wycombe District Swimming Club aged 9 and have been competing in races since then. I race in all four swimming strokes and in distances from 50m up to 3,000m in both swimming pools and lakes. I train for around 12 hours per week.
I’m most proud of qualifying for the National Age Group Open Water championships which are taking place in Sheffield in July 2025. I have also competed for Wycombe in three National Arena League finals and three National Junior League finals, these are always lots of fun as you swim as part of a great team with many supporters cheering us on.
I enjoy swimming and seeing how the hard work that I put in pays off in galas. I’ve met lots of people at Wycombe and from other clubs, and made some amazing friendships along the way.
